I’ve got a 1970 red interior. KolorKorrect sent me 0% gloss Dark Red for the dash and some semi gloss that matches the 513G upholstery from Legendary. The 0% paint dried with the suede texture. After looking at this paint code sheet from R-M, I’m not sure the suede was used on LeMans, or if Dark Red is even the correct color. R-M sheet says LeMans did not use suede and Dark Red is Firebird only. Did the LeMans use the suede texture for the metal part of the dash, A pillar covers, and below the back windshield? Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have a blue interior and the paint store local to me took the lacquer paint number and had trouble converting to a ppg single stage number. Its a semi gloss color and when I sprayed the dash metal he told me to add a little flattening agent to it. You can see the difference as the steering column is non flattened . I don't know if adding alot of flattening agent makes it suede, but mines maybe not as flat colored as yours ? Lol, hell, mine might be wrong, but it looks ok to me. You might want to post this in the body shop section to get more people- painters to view it and get their answers.

Ok, went looking for my sheets because I didn't remember any RM paint numbers. I found the same page as you have and the only red is suede for firebirds. This is the sheet I used and the paint code numbers for my GTO, all they mention is 0 gloss and low gloss, no suede -they are Lucite - Ditzler lacquer numbers. Hope this gets you somewhere. If you need a better pic let me know.

Thanks for the feedback BB70. I’ve decided I like the suede texture and the color is fine by me. It matches the rear package tray pretty well. It’s not the “correct” color anyway— I don’t even know why I briefly obsessed over it! It’s a ‘71 and I had Legendary make a 71 pattern interior in the 1970 red because I like that better than the 71 Sienna.

I redid some of the interior of my 70 gto. The metal part of the dash that holds the vin I repainted with kolor correct dark saddle because the original paint had gotten a little blotchy over the year from the sun.. If i remember correctly ,the original paint had a little texture to it and kolor corrects paint for that also did. I was real happy the way it came out.
