If it's a decent compression tester to begin with, replace the pressure gauge. Might be cheaper than buying an entire compression tester.

All issues should be as cheap to get out from under as reusing a old spark plug wire!

Now you know what a dead hole feels like! Nice it was simple as a set of wires. If you assembled them, look for a poor terminal install on the user assembled end.
