The problem with the Mr Gasket 987G 2-degree cam key is that it changes the crank degrees by 4. So if you're wanting to advance or retard the cam 2 degrees, you would need a 1 degree offset cam key, which, as far as I know, no one makes anymore since the Mopar keys are out of production.
The Mr Gasket 988G 4-degree key will change crank degrees by 8

https://s1partscenter.com/brands/cummins/key/3944039

from the pictures and what little specs i can find .. this key seems to have minimal offset

some mercedes engines have the same dimensions but with a large offset

in the past i have measured my mopar key set and it seems that every step in offset is around .010 of step increase

I'm talking about CAM Timing, not ignition Timing.

My machinist hand made one with a file to get it right on one motor he assembled for me. I usually am maybe 1 degree off using the Mopar ones. Have yet to find a chain right on dot to dot.
