Default Small Digital tachometer

I’m looking for a tachometer for my LeMans. I don’t want a big honking round tach on my steering column like on my GTO, just a little digital tach I can mount somewhere fir when I want to check RPM. It doesn’t have to look stock, stealth, or pretty, just functional.
Now surprisingly a search at Summit shows almost nothing, just your basic old school large round tachs, or modern mount in the dash ones.
I was thinking something along the lines of this, but just a tach, and better quality. Anyone here have any ideas?

I like this little guy. I almost bought one for my Firebird before I switched to Fuel Injection. I think its essentially the size of the shift light that would go onto a Monster Tach.

Autometer makes a similar one if you want to pay more and maybe get better quality. Summit used to but they discontinued it.

Getting all my gauges on one little box was actually a motivating factor in going to injection for me. I think there would be a market for just a Terminator style Led screen that you could plumb electric sensors into. I know Holley has the big digital dash, which is cool, but is a hefty priced item.

You did not mention the year. This is a 63 LeMans cluster that I put a tach in the blank spot where the clock would go. You may be able to do something similar.

Bosch makes a ~2" Tach that is accurate. I used the guts to drive a Stock 68 Tach. You could buy from Advanced auto Zone or Harbor freight and use as-is.

I bought the small AutoGage (AutoMeter cheap line) 8k tach, 2-3/4" diameter. Works really well from what I can tell and seems pretty accurate. I also bought the trio gauge set that is all electric and small too.

Not the prettiest solution but the inductive Tiny Tach will work.

Another update. I mounted the Glowshift digital tach in my LeMans and love it.
So I ordered one for my GTO to replace the non functional mini tach that’s in there. I got it installed and it was reading about double the actual RPM. I talked to Glowshift tech and they recommended an electronic “filter” be wired in. Not that expensive, about $9, but of course had to wait for it to arrive. I installed it and absolutely no change. It still reads double the RPM. Apparently this tach doesn’t like breaker point ignition, which my GTO has. Now shipping back for a refund. Works great on my LeMans with electronic ignition.

My first thought was the tach is setup for a 4 cylinder. Then I wonder if you have a dual point distributor in the GTO.

I tried the switch on 4,6, and 8 cylinder settings. No change. No dual point, it’s the original distributor.
It’s always possible the distributor is defective, but if their own tech guy says “it looks like it just doesn’t work on your car”, then I’m done with it.

I put one of those tinytac on my tractor it lasted a few months. I contacted the seller, he sent me another one, it dies within a year. There is a battery in there you can't replace I believe.
