convertible top problem
My top is not going up unless I help push it when someone else is in the car pressing on the top switch. Its the original top motor and I have never had a problem before. I have replaced the the top hoses about 8 years ago. There are no leaks any where. I have current from the switch to the top motor. Maybe its time for a new top motor? Any input! Thanks, Steve

I would top off the hydraulic fluid, check to make sure it is not binding any where. Does the top go down all by itself without assistance? I have a shop manual I will check in the next couple of days and see if it addresses the problem.

You need to bleed the system of air. Put your thumb over the filler plug hole and have an assistant run the motor for 10 seconds. Gently remove your thumb partially off the hole opening to let air escape. Add trans fluid if needed and repeat the process until all air is gone.

Well I removed the back seat and side panels and thats when I found a leak.
Where the plastic hose meets at the fitting on the lower side of the top cylinder. Well I now know what I will be doing this weekend. Thanks for all your insights it got me to remove everything out of the way to find the leak. Steve
