Butler has the exh valve in a race steel that is 5.110” in length.
Other then getting a custom valve made up this is the closest you will find, a the extra .010” of length can easily be ground off without cutting thru the harden tip.

Butler also has the 2.19” intake in the needed race steel, but it’s 5.275” in length.

Brodix has a 2.19” valve in a better 5.230” length and the tip length is .270” so I don’t know how that compares with the Butler valve.

Here again you could get a custom valve made by Ferrea if need be.
Manley could do the same for you.

I would let the extra 0.010" EXH length ride.,as usual the shims fix the spring pressure.
Custom by Ferrea (or top-shelf Manley) sounds excellent. Thanks Steve....HIS

REV is usually the most economical choice for a custom valve.

MERRY CHRISTMAS guys!

Assuming 11/32 stem I think my Edlebrock 409 intakes were 2.19 5.100 ish. I can measure tomorrow I put stronger Manleys in using a solid roller in that motor. I used Ferrera 5.10-3 Dport Pontiac valves turned down to 1.72 for it. So might check Ferrera.

Here s a Summit number.Ferrera does make some valves for Edelbrock but would not say which ones they make and are made to Edelbrock specs more like the 5000 series.

I have a set of 2.15" for my Edelbrock heads that I got from Trend. I don't remember the length. I can check tomorrow when I go to my buddy's shop where we are building my motor.

Valve stem length for the 1.800" installed height on Edelbrock cylinder heads...

87cc chamber the intake is 5.093 and the exhaust is 5.110

72cc chamber the intake is 5.213 and the exhaust is 5.230

1.8 can GRIND down to 1.700 for benefits. 2.15 ought to answer the mail for a 2.19 valveseat....right?

While head porting, it just seems to me a valveset can be ground to match/complement the valveseat-height.

At what point do you need to reduce the diameter of the exhaust valve? I'm thinking that my Edelbrock heads from Dave at SD came back with a 2.19" intake and a 1.72" exhaust and the valves were really close together.

Edelbrock moved over the stock Exh valve position by .040" to make room for that big stock 1.92" Intake bowl throat ( 90.9% ) and to straighten out the Intake port.

A person who knows what there doing when porting these heads can in terms of a NA motor get all the Exh flow needed to have a good Exh to Intake ratio when using a 1.71" Exh valve.

A decent set of headers with the correct primary tube size will pick up the Exh flow level by 5% above .400"lift.

If you install 1.77" exh valves in these heads and run Pistons with a Exh valve notch cut for factory iron heads your going to run into problems when you attain a certain amount of lift .

Unless it's a power adder build there is zero reason to install a 1.77 exhaust valve in an aftermarket Pontiac head. Biggest I personally would ever go is 1.720.
FWIW I made 1050hp na with a 1.700

Thanks HIS but no thanks cant shave the tips when using lash caps. Why is it so hard to just respond to the original post?My delema is to achieve my spring install height i have to shim my springs almost .200 and still have minimum coil .So hence the need for shorter valves, also using yella terra shaft 1.65 i have very little adjustment

Also to add to post just summited .,Changed to roller lifters that have almost .700 higher seat height then previous.,so trying to geometry correct without going to shorter pedestal s

There are some different thickness lash caps to jiggle height.
