Default ‘71 Muncie spline count

Time for a new clutch for me. I remember when I put one in 10-11 years ago there was a question on how many splines were on the ‘71 Muncie. I can’t find my receipt from years ago, and a search turned up nothing. Anybody know?
Thanks!

assuming my memory serves me correct:

1970 & prior are 10 spline
1971 and later are 26 spline

also;
1970 & earlier use a TH350 (small) output shaft
1971 & later use a TH400 (large) output shaft

The only exception to this is Muncie three speeds - they retained the 10 spline input/small output configuration.

This is why there appears to be some duplication regarding engine codes;
1971-1974 engines (1971-only for Firebirds; 1971-1974 for GTO/Lemans) destined to have a Muncie three speed had a unique code - to identify which clutch assembly the engine had installed...

I may be wrong because this is a guess, but I think that Saginaw transmissions retained this configuration as well.

Quite likely one of few '70 Muncie three speed Formula 400's left.

2009 Cobalt SS: 13.9 @ 103mph (current DD; makes something north of 300hp & 350ft/lbs)

Thanks guys!
I was just going to use my old receipt to order the same parts, and I always save receipts!Just can’t find it. Too long ago for Summit to look it up in their system also.
