Early production '72 A-body's & GP's used the same instrument cluster as '70 & 71's. It wasn't until very late Dec of 71 builds did the late '72 model clusters appear with the 120 speedo & the "Brake" & "Fasten Seaybelts" windows at the bottom.
Substituting a '70-71 or even a '69 A-body Rally Guage cluster can be done even in a late '72. Doing so in a late '72 model without the correct stamped steel guage mtg housing, late 72 speedo & printed circuit, you would just have to retain the earlier rally cluster, retain its 140 speedo, & swap the two wires like "adding" rally guages to a previous model.
