Default Vent Window Tweaking '64 GTO Hardtop

I installed the Soft-Seal rubber on the vent window frame. After re-installing the window, the top was out of position by so much it wouldn't close.

The only thing that looked out of kilter was the top swivel pin that fits into the frame. It appeared to be bent slightly, forcing the window rearward. I was able to bend it back by putting pressure on the window. Now the vent window will close, but needs more movement in the forward direction on top.

I have no idea how the swivel pin got bent, but that's the only thing that would change the position of the window in the frame.

Should I bend the pin more to get the vent window into the correct position or is there another way?

Can you take a pic ? A crescent wrench with tape on the jaws works good for tweaking upper pivots. You didn't loosen the bottom nut on the assembly?

Here are two vent window assys. from a '64 hardtop. The one on top has the new rubber in it, the one on the bottom original rubber.

Note that the top one has the glass too close to the vertical frame piece and the bottom one has just the right amount of clearance. Also note the top hinge pin on the top one is not bent rearward (toward the vertical frame piece). It's not obvious in the pictures, but you can see the photo of the top of the frame with the window too far rearward (too close to the frame), whereas the original window assy. is perfectly centered.

When first assembled, the vent window would not close because the glass hit the vertical frame. I bent the hinge pin by hand enough to allow the window to close, but, as you can see it's not enough.

Is bending the pin the right way to go? I don't see another fix.

It appears that the bottom hinge cannot be moved at all--or can you bend that pin also to move the glass?

Open the vent slightly push forward at the top. It would be easier to do with it installed in the car. Try to keep things aliened just push forward not side to side. I hope that makes sense.
