Default 72 splitter tip location?

Does anyone know the proper location for the 72 splitter tip location? I would like to install my tail pipes on my 72 Lemans sport convertible but I do not know the proper location or where to cut my PYPES tail pipes and weld there turn down pipes so I can install the splitter tips. So can someone help, pictures would be great.

Here are a couple of installs that show 72 style splitters. Since the Pypes system is an A-body system, there is no 'proper' location for the tips. By cutting the tailpipes way back and using the piece(s) left over, you can achieve a similar to oem look.

Although this install doesn't have splitters, Splitters could be added by cutting back the tailpipe extension to the straight part.

Although this is a 65 GTO, the splitter installation will be very similar on the 72
