69 firebird camshaft question
I found the receipt for the rebuild that was done in 93. I searched the cam and it was a SPC-7 that was installed and it looks like it was the replacement for 400 and 455. Mine is a 350 2bl .I am just curious if this is better for it than the stock cam.

Whoever rebuilt your engine used the same cam that the manual trans 350 HO used which is the 068, 350 HO automatic cars used the 067. The 068 was widely used in various 389, 400, 421, 428 and 455 performance engines, the only time it was used in a 350 was in the 1969 350 HO.
In 1968 the 350 HO used the 067 in manual trans applications and the 066 in automatic transmission cars just to add some perspective. The 2-barrel 350 engines all came with the 254 cam which is smaller than the 066 cam. If you’re still running the 2-barrel the 066 would be the best cam as a slight upgrade from the 254. The 068 is pretty versatile, if you’re happy with how it runs then go with it although the 066 would probably be a better match.

It has a 4bl now and a manual trans, does run good, no plans to change it. Thanks for the info on it.

The 067 is a fairly mild performance cam that’s actually a step below the 068.
