I can't help - but please provide feedback (and if possible pics) as I'm interested in this system for my 66 gto as well. Thanks!

Will do. I'll take pictures and make a post when I install it. Still haven't decided on mufflers though.

These stainless hangers are great. I paid like $5 each though. You can heat the stainless rod and bend to suit your configuration. Then weld them to what ever your holding. Bolt other side to vehicle body.

How about the factory hangers sold by most restoration parts houses?

That’s what I have on my ‘64 Le Mans. Not a big deal to bolt up a fabricated bracket to the hangers if things aren’t quite lining up.

The last few Flowmaster A-body 2-1/2” mandrel bent dual exhaust kits I’ve used all came with the factory muffler hangers, all the pipe clamps and factory type tailpipe hangers as well.

Like B-man mentioned, I prefer to use factory hangers that are reproduced from about any restoration supply chain you choose.

I use them even if the kits come with their own hangers. Primarily because the factory hangers offer much more cushion and vibration resistance by design, and they fit like the hangers are supposed to fit. I find they also tend to help with drone issues as they isolate/insulate much better.

Chuckie those are the type I was looking at and have used previously on other cars. Theyre simple and work. Thanks

I used the Pypes restoration type hanger kit on my ‘68 (2.5” HGH30). Same kit for 64-72. I am very happy with it and it mounted in the factory holes perfectly. Maybe overkill being stainless but it’s a nice fitting quality kit.
