Default Coating Raw Dougs Headers

Considering the "raw' version of Doug's headers to save me ~$300, but wondering if anyone has had any luck with a coating or paint that might stick for any length of time. Or am I not thinking straight and just need to spend the extra money for the beautiful ceramic coated ones?

Still gonna cost the same as you will save.... but get them Cerakoted if you want them to last and something better than other coatings
