Question TH400 Help

I am putting in a new TH400 in the Firebird and stupidly left the dipstick on the work bench. Of course there is another dipstick on the bench as well and now I cannot remember which one belongs in the car.

How can you tell? What level in the pan should the fluid be when it is full and running (level at which you would normally check it)?

Thanks,
Tim.

With the engine running the fluid level should be at the top of the pan. With the car level start the engine and just loosen the pan. Let it leak to the correct level, or fill then scribe the stick at the correct level.
