A nice added compliment/ safety item I have added to my oil system is a Stewart Warner SW76073 1/8” pipe switch.
It’s adjustable between 35 and about 42 lb and has normally open and closed terminals on it. I wired in my stock idiot light to the normally open terminal so I know instantly if anything is wrong if the pressure drops below 35 lbs. The normally closed terminal can be used for racing to kill the fuel pump by means of a relay, or kill the ignition ( without a relay) or with a relay kill both. Yes, you need a override switch to get the motor started. It’s very cheap insurance for 40 bucks and some wiring time if you ask me.

And he was not talking about 1/8 or 1/4 mile ETs! 1) 1940s 100% silver 4 cup tea server set. Two dry rotted 14 x 10 Micky Thompson slicks. 1) un-mailed in gift coupon from a 1972 box of corn flakes. Two pairs of brown leather flip flops, never seen more then 2 mph. Education is what your left with once you forget things! Last edited by steve25; 10-25-2023 at 03:36 PM. |
