Default Indy Nats

Went to Indy today to watch some Stock and SuperStock(the stuff dreams are made of) hehe.... Bryan Phillips, Todd Hoven and Lynn Smith(i think) all in 67-68 Birds ran great today...all in E/Stock...runnin in 10.70s to low 10.80s... awesome stuff... And the McCarty Brothers cars layin down some good numbers... i think the Grand Am went 9.40s
... correct me if im wrong.. it made a heck of a pass... the Black bird not quite as fast, but still flew.. in the higher 9s i believe... Lots of POntiacs representing today... Ken Shawver's 77 or 78 Trans Am went 10.54... 6x 400! Lots of other pontiacs too... RInker 74 GTO 350 went 11.20s in SuperSTock...may have went a little quicker... I had a good day and was inspired to the max! Just thought i'd pass on some info!! Albeit, not 100% accurate

No, Ron, these are 670 and 16/62 headed 330hp combos... Bryan Phillips has run in D/SA trim and ran in the 10.50s ... lighter but same engine combo

If I remember correctly, Ken's old E stock T-37 was originally owned and raced by Rock and Ginny Running from MI. I came very close to buying that car in the mid 80's from the Runnings, was a 455 HO combination that ran .50 under the index.
