I’ve never had any issues with my IMI starter. At one time I was well over 15:1 but only 13.5:1 now. I have used a 16 volt battery the last 8 years or so without an alternator. I use a Lifeline Racing battery and an XS charger. When this charger goes bad I’m going to try something different. It seems I get about 2 season out of them. The Lifeline battery has a 12v and a 16v post. I only run my CSR water pump off of the 12v post. Everything else runs off of 16v.

Sorry for late response - had accident and surgery out for the season - even driving or walking for a long time.

Will follow suggestions and upgrades with ground cable, 20 degrees retard, RobbMc starter with support, etc.

Thanks Guys, Craig

Thank you guys - your kind words mean a lot.

If you remember, I am a touchy feely sort of guy - I am by trade a Mental Health Therapist who specializes in working with trauma and combat veterans, police and fire - So I guess I have to be - LOL!

Take Care, Craig
