He probably figured out that would be a step backwards.

End of 2016 maybe beginning of 2017 they decided??? Also seem to recall before that, a podcast where he mentioned waiting till after Indy for medical treatment. Possibly needed from accident??? .
And yes pretty sure he had cv stuff beforehand... then off for CNC. The ports were developed yrs ago... Many here joked remember.

I just don't want him to get embarrassed. What if the same thing happened to him as did Brian"s, it would be a bad thing for Pontiac's. I am sure he is running many times more boost.
Don't think he has ever exploded a engine.

I hope he ends up running whatever head Marcella comes up with, you know it will be the best. That or Wilcox's RAV head, he likes boost and has a pedigree. Have a ton of respect for those two.
New stuff always takes time to get sorted out though.
Even a big set of Pro Ports would be a major step up from std port E heads.
I tell some of those kids at the track who worship Chief that I have a better set of heads that his right now. Thats saying something if a nobody like me can buy a used set for 3800$ and have a better set than him.
He needs to step up.
I had a photo of Wicox's new raised port non pushrod in the port RAV billet head sent to his cell. Never heard anything back. I did try, who knows what his plans are ? He has had just about every head, E heads, Tigers, HPs, CVs.
Hope his plans are good, whatever they are.

2015 (December) the Crowmod debuted at Pri. I was there with Bill and Jim (with SLR crew) . Dick wasn't there and no meetings with Chief though, he was swarmed with fans. I stayed for entire event. We met with alot of vendors.

Think they went with another CNC shop in the middle of this. I was mostly in hospital end of August til Thanksgiving so not much in the loop through then.

It is humorous to read the speculation and nonsense sometimes.

Give it up with the CV-1 stuff. What is the problem? Pretty sure Chief can tune any motor well and will not have an issue. If he does or does not that's his choice. Every thread now turns into a head bashing thread.

Dragncar... Are you using tissues, toilet paper, or just wear a condom when you're dreaming up your nonsense???

BTW he was changing bearings quite often for awhile. Do some research and find out cause and who helped resolve. All I'll say is you'll be surprised and cv1 wasn't in any way involved.

What are you talking about ?? What "bearings" ? Don't know anything about it. Rarely watch the show. I want him to do good.
Just made a post on directions me, personally would like to see him go.
I want the best for him, biggest name we have.
Track record is what it is, I did not make it. Vast majority had had real problems trying to make big power with them. One guy is doing it, one guy.
I am sure he has extremely good help. Quinlen is top notch, he could make a Briggs and Straton run.
Don't shove words in my mouth pal.

Who said anything negative about Quillen??? No hate there dipstick... especially from CV guys. Do some actual searches and work on your reading comprehension while you're at it.

Considering this picture was taken from a thread called "Big Chiefs CV-1 project" and was posted by the guy doing the work I would say it's pretty legit.

Bruce, I think you have take too much of you meds.
I never knew anything about bearings. I brought up Quinllen just to praise him, had nothing to do with YOU.

Didn't GREATGTO have a 572. Whats the stroke on that 4.75 ? Going big it looks like.
