Sad, if it's real.

Wonder why a title could not be issued.

I'm sure a title could be had for it. In this state, you wouldn't even need it. Looks very salvageable...with a lot of work that is.

Yeah, if I were in the market for a project I would be all over that. Many states you could get a title for it, just make sure the vin doesn't pop as stolen.

If that has the born with 302, I don't even think the price is bad.

Z28 project.
Does that mean it's a base model that's being upgraded, or a legit Z28??

95% original.
Not a chance.

Hasn’t really been messed with in the past 20 years.
Does messed with mean adding a cowl hood? Steel hoods are readily available now, anybody know if they were in '99?
Or messed with meaning those period Cragar mags and awful speaker covers?

There's a lot of Bondo there, and that scares me. That familiar steering wheel should too, but instead it made me smile.

Did the 69 Z28 come with rear disks standard?

Looks like about 50% of the car has a 1/8" thick layer of bondo.

Oh its all the way scary, but I still think if you can say 100% that the car has its born with drivetrain, from engine to rear end......worth the price of admission.

Especially when you consider "driver quality" restorations are getting much more acceptable. Patch the floors, make it mechanically sound and drive it. When almost every other sketch muscle era car out there was born with a 326 and a super turbine, or a 318 et, and yours is a legit 302 Z and a 4 speed? Sounds pretty good to me.

In some circles the original 302 and 4 speed would be worth the asking price.

Very true, whether it be passion, obsession or both.

Passionate people will pay because they want it.

Obsessive people will pay because they must have it.

Not pointing fingers here, I've been guilty of both.

I knew of several original Z/28's that did not have 4 wheel disc brakes.

I'm probably mistaken, for some reason I thought rear disks were an option on the 69 Z/28 and the 69 TA.

Rear disc were an option on the 69's not just Z-28s, JL8 was the code but they were not an option on the TA's that I'm aware of.

Interesting with the four speed and I see the ram air pull under the dash. Was that just an option?

I don't know my 70's that well but I believe Ram Air was an option on all GTOs. That car appears as though it has the original paint. With that in mind, there are no signs of any Judge decals anywhere.

That quite possibly was a Judge. It would interesting to know what shape the car was in when it was left to rot. Unfortunately, it's now just a VIN tag donor.
