Looks like a nice driver.
Is that a crack I see in the upper left corner of the windshield @2:30?

I looked at it again...I didn't see it. I saw some optic glare in the winshield probaly the sun hitting the camera lens at a certain angle. i did notice the glass was a little dirty and the tint on the upper portion almost looks like it was added.

You are correct, I was wrong.
After looking at it closer, it was a reflection that appeared like a curved crack.

I noticed he said he liked the 70-72 Trans Am's.. but quickly ( I might add) sat his ass in a nice '73 Deluxe comfy seat!! I like the car, has original flavor. The motor is more than I would have done, guess that's why I can get 17 mpg on the highway!! LOL

It IS a pretty nice car.....but really a rolling "repoop" showcase for Year One Firebird parts....

It does come off really well........but if it ever ended up in the "tank",there wouldn't be alot left....

Thanks Bruce,
I saw them, but I didn't know what year seats they were. It also had the radial tuned suspension emblem on the dash...but I don't know if that is wrong. I don't remember what year Pontiac introduced that on our birds. I thought it was '74, but I'm guessing.

Maybe it's my computer, but that looks more like Adriatic blue than lucerne blue to me. Great looking car though.

So that's where all these 72 barn finds are coming from...it's the extra 800 that Pontiac built and didn't tell anybody about.

So he said approximately 2000 T/A s built in 1972. I thought it was more like 1200 and change. Is that where the missing 800 number comes in?

The 72 4spd is one of 458, most likely less than 150 were blue 4spds. Subtract a good amt that are gone, and what are left are highly desirable.

Never mind the 800...You are thinking right sir. 1286 to be exact.

Just a couple of us clowning about Keith at Year One stating his estimation around 2000 '72 Trans Ams were built. Nope 1286.... and his blue one (the video) being somewhere around 1 of 500 built because only 25% were blue. Now that I don't know about.

The joke was the other 800 cars, sorry.

Eddie

Well, there were a lot of Birds left on the line during the 72 strike!

Maybe they sent them to China instead of being crushed like they said they did?

I really like what they've done with this car. As he mentioned, only bolt on items so as not to affect the integrity of what makes these cars so desirable in the first place. No LS motor (those are great, just not in an original 72 TA), no heavy body mods or crazy paint jobs on this bird.
It's cars like this that will help attract a new generation of fans to musclecars and not just the latest Skyline, Evo, or WRX (all awesome cars as well) and help preserve what's becoming increasingly rare and hard to find.
