Damn, 2020 has been a brutal year and now Eddie is gone.

He was phenomenal on the guitar.

RIP Eddie.

Knew he was battling cancer...really sad to hear that he lost the fight. He was a huge influence on my guitar playing.

WHOA!

Well this certainly sucks. Lou Gramm isn't going to take this very well. He hated turning 70 back in May.

RIP E.VH.

What a loss. Glad I caught them on their last tour. I kind of had a feeling that would be the last one.

I remember my older sister bringing the first Van Halen album home and playing the heck out of it. Her and her friends loved it. I was impressed that girls would like their music. I was listening to a lot of Rush at the time and chicks didn't dig that generally.

When I was 7 I loaded my dads 74 chevy pick up with 900 pounds of newspapers that I got from neighbors. We drove it to the scrapyard and I got 9 bucks and change. I bought the latest VH album at the local montgomery ward. I have loved VH for a long time...and money. RIP EDDIE!!!

Saw VH at the opening of the OU812 tour at Rupp Arena in Lexington KY. Well, i remember the beginning of the concert and some of the middle. The rest is kinda foggy.... VH is the soundtrack of my generation.

I saw Van Halen in 1981, 1986 and 2012. Eddie was a pioneering talent and is proof that finding your own path leads to greatness. The guy never learned how to read music- everything was by ear.

He was definitely an inspiration with his technique and lack of formal training, but the one thing he did advocate was practice practice practice! Showed how with enough effort you can be good at what you want to do.
