Need side view mirror measurements
My 66 Lemans came from the factory without side view mirrors so I am going to put some after market ones on both sides. Could some one take measurements so that I will know where to drill my holes.

Measurements of the bracket or mirror will work great. I don't know if the measurements for driver side and passenger side are different

Something seems amiss?? I think by '66 the Lemans came standard with a LH side-view mirror.
Even the bare bones BASE Tempest (Shown Below) had a side-view mirror. No carpet, Grab Handle and IIRC no PS visor but it had a SV mirror. The optional mirrors would be the Inside Non-Glare, Visor, and/or LH Remote. Have you had the door panel off to see if possibly the factory holes may have been covered/sealed? Take a look inside and if still needed I can get you some measurements of a factory mirror.

Doors were stripped down to bare metal and no holes for mirrors, driver or passenger side. I do not have the build sheet to know if it originally came with mirrors.

Interesting? I've not seen any '66 without a SV mirror from the factory.
Anyhow hopefully these will assist;

If you go aftermarket, get metal ones. I bought mine from Ames....had aftermarket temporary plastic ones B4.....junk

mirrors
I understand trying to be exactly correct. Why not take the time to see/verify if the proposed location is in fact functional ???

FWIW
The placement shown would be Factory.
As long as NOS or similar Re-pop mirror is used it will be good. Still not sure why the OP's door does not have the factory hole provisions?? Even the aftermarket door shells come with these. The larger hole is for the optional Remote mirror's cable. As far as the PS '66 did not offer sport/duel mirrors so it may require checking placement first. Again this is based on correct style mirrors. Below are some images of a '66 I saw with L&R mounted mirrors, both at the same location on each side but I can not offer anything in as far as viewing area of PS mirrors placement. Not sure if the vent/wing window would obstruct view.
