Default TV bracket (200-4r & Q-jet)

I am almost ready to order the TV bracket and TV cable from CPT. It looks well thought out, well made, and it universal. While poking around in the JY the other day, I found this bracket on a late 70's Buick.

I think a throttle cable and kickdown cable attached to this bracket. The kickdown cable (or whatever is was) has the same end/attachment as the TV cable. Could it work as-is for my TV cable? As you can see in the pic, there is ~4" from the carb mounting studs to the TV cable mounting flange.

I never bought any unifix kits as I always copied the measurements and geometry from a factory equipped setup, be it carb or efi. Never had a problem.

I believe Car Craft or Hot Rod published a pic of the TV bracket from an early 80's Olds w/ a 307 and a QJet, back in the 90's. This was supposed to be a cheap, reliable way to hook up the TV system for junk yard prices.
Worth a look in the wrecking yards.

The MOST important thing to get right is the TV cable geometry. The jy bracket should work just fine but the tv cable needs a rotation pattern that differs from the throttle cable pattern. If you used that bracket AND the original throttle shaft originally designed for tv cable attachement, I see no reason why it wouldn't work as the factory intended. From what I've gathered, the tv attachment point should be approximately 10 degrees to the rear of the throttle shaft center (measured vertically).

I have the Bowtie Overdrives kit on my car and it works very well. But I have a spreadbore Holley, not a Qjet. I am having a Pontiac Qjet rebuilt with the throttle shaft, (and electric choke) from a late 80's GM.

Do you have the GM part number for this bracket?

I had to make all the brackets and TV cable mount for my 67 Tempest Sprint when I did the 2004r swap in the 80s.
No one had any info or parts to do it at that time.
Keep in mind that the Sprint Q jet mounts sideways and uses a bellcrank.
TV cable adjustment and geometry is a make or break deal with this swap.

the TCI bracket is cheap and will do the same job ,
for ****&giggles i searched the bracket thru google and some in the Olds forums want as much $100+ thinking that GM one is discontinued..
when you get the number later well look in GM parts direct to see if it comes valid available or not then the people who are seeking the GM one will pay top dollar ...

GM # 22504927. I actually found something in my garage! Too many projects going and too many parts everywhere.
