Thanks for the referrals. Sun Tuned is the last guy in the world I would ever let touch any part of my car. The guy might know something about distributors but knows nothing about customer service.

No worries on that pal.
I wouldn’t fix one for you if there was 1500.00 in it for me to start with. Gladly send that pile of junk somewhere else. You need help with postage? |

Just buy a Progressive Ignition distributor and set it up yourself with a smartphone.

Thanks for posting that! When I wa shopping for an HEI several years ago, this is something I knew could exist - but I could never find any evidence of it.

How long is that continually changing bluetooth protocol on your ever changing smartphone going to work with that distributor which is less likely to receive protocol updates and changes in the same frequency as your smart phone? Nice idea but I'd shy away from them personally..

Seems tough to find many reviews but I liked the idea of this enough to buy one and chance it.
Mine has been in use for a couple months now and does everything it's supposed to as advertised. Longevity is the unfortunate unknown here but if you want infinite control of your timing without getting your hands dirty, this is for you. |

Cliff just got through doing ours as well, I know he has a backlog right now, but most do at this point, and he ended up getting ours done way faster than he even estimated. This makes the second distributor he has done for us,, one HEI and one Points. We have also purchased a couple Qjet rebuild kits along with his recipe/Jets/Needles in the past, always great customer service, he can set you up with Qjet recalibration kit for just about any engine combination out there.
