Default WTB - 68 Lemans Rear Bumper Parts

I had an old rear bumper in the loft of my barn so I decided to re-assign it to duty as a shelf, keeping cold beverages
safe while playing pool. Now that it’s mounted, I need a few things to complete it.

WTB:

- Set of tail light housings with sockets and lenses for 68 Lemans (Not looking for perfection, so if you have a
ratty set laying around send me some pics) No GTO lenses because I want this project to match my 68 LeMans.

- Rear license plate holder for 68 Tempest/Lemans/GTO. (This will also hide a bottle opener)

- Rear license plate light assembly/housing.

Once these parts are installed, I’ll wire/convert the lights for household current and give it a maple top for the
finishing touch…

Thanks,
Tony

Bump...Still looking

Had a couple PM's saying they had some of the parts and haven't heard back. If this doesn't pan-out, Norwalk is in a few weeks & I'll be looking there too.

Tony

I thought that you had it covered, so I didn't respond. This one of the two taillight housings that I got out last week to show you. I may have a crappy pair of lenses to go with them; will have to check. I know that I have a license plate holder and should have a tag light also. Let me know if you're interested and I'll get more pics. Thanks, Bob.

Bob,

I'm interested, so PM me with any other pics you have and your asking price for the whole lot and we'll take it from there.

Thanks,
Tony

I've let enough time lapse for those that PM'd/responded to get back with me (and haven't) so I'm bumping this back up.

I did find some of what I needed at Norwalk, so I'm still looking for the following:

68 LeMans tail light lenses (if you only have one, that's ok because one came with the tail light buckets I bought at Norwalk). Will still buy both if you have the pair.

License plate holder/gas tank door (for 68 LeMans/GTO)

Thanks

I have a nice pair of '68 Tempest lenses that would fit your buckets. Plus, you will never tire of those who will then want to tell you that your car is not a Lemans lol. Tell them it's a rare factory option. If you can't find Lemans lenses these would work nicely. I'll send you a pic if interested.

haha...that's a good thought. Since these would be mounted in my "bumper-shelf", I doubt anyone would ever notice, especially since most people would be in some sort of an altered state when in the room shooting pool or causing trouble.

PM me some pics and what you're thinking price wise and maybe we can work this out.

Thanks,
Tony

Couldn't figure out how to attach pics to a PM so here they are. I have not cleaned them and there is some sludge on them from polishing compound. As you can see there are no cracks or chipped edges (which are typical).
I have been restoring late model clear plastic headlight lenses using catalyzed clear urethane and recently had experimented using the process on red plastic lens materials. They end up looking like brand new lenses. Since these are in good shape that was the plan for these if I ever needed to use them. Both Lemans and Tempest lenses are not repo'ed and good ones getting hard to find.
