I am curious as to how much hp/torque would it take to change a rpm on the transbrake from 4700 to 5500 with my 505cid/TCI 9"/th400? Just want to see how much changing to full throttle would reflect my 10.40s Ets with only partial throttle

I am not sure what you are asking, but did you go to Bradenton to a test and tune a couple of weeks ago?

Look at your Dyno sheets. Usually the changing of launch rpms is to take full advantage of your chassis, if it can take the launch, or track conditions. Also to help your reaction times as it does change the leave.
The only way to find out is to test and wear it out, LOL. Even the track could change your results.
Race hard and have fun.
BTW: A longer stroke motor or bigger can drastically loosen your convertor to the point of needing tightening and check your MPH against your past engine combo.

Ken MacNicol, yes I was there. I was checking things out after I had gone home and found that the throttle was about 70% open. So was just wondering how much power would it take to make a converter on the brake to go from 4700rpm (70% throttle) to 5500rpm (95% throttle). I have since gone to Sunshine, a 1/8th mile track, and found that this converter is too loose. I would like to see 5000-5100 rpm. The dyno showed peak torque at 5100-5200. What ya think P-Dude?
