This question has probably been worn out but,
What is the maximum tire size in a 60 series I can run on the rear of my 72 bird with a standard 15x7 wheel? I'm looking for a couple of DOT drag radials and need to know what will clear without mods. Thanks-

MoJo, my street tires are 255/60R15 (BF Goodrich Radial Ta's). I have a set of BF Goodrich Drag Radials mounted on 15x7 Rally's that are: 275/50R15 with no clearance problems at all.

Great, I think I've found 2 BFG's at a good price. They're 275 60's that would not clear a Mustang. His loss,my gain
Thanks for your reply 455ho-
