Jim oddy’s car is definetly an epic gasser. I did not see the tow car, cool!
The Austin idling.. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Lrb54FudHy0 To my knowledge my neighbors 55 never went to a track, it was a street car. LOL, Now I am wondering if he still has the 55 and I was looking in the wrong barn. Enjoying the “Gasser” education Jay |

Jimmy liked his Pontiacs even though he is a hardcore Hemi guy. If you look at a lot of old drag photos you will notice a lot of Pontiacs in the pits from tow vehicles to push cars to drag cars. Sometimes I wonder if Pontiac wagons were a preferred tow vehicle.

Back around 2010, there was an original straight axle '62 Vette Gasser barn find in the car corral at the NHRA Reunion in Bowling Green. Someone in the 70's pulled the HiPo Chevy engine out and put in what looked to be a stock 400 Pontiac that hasn't run in a long time. The chassis was pretty rusty and some parts were missing but if I would have had the $10,000.00 the guy wanted on me it would have been part of my collection right now.
