Thats pretty fast!! The GP in my avatar was doing 10.70's with a 70 455 HO, iron intake, quadrajet, GTO headers, RAIV style cam, 3.0 gear, 3000 stall nitrous conv, 250 HP Cheater plate (for launch), and a 400 HP hidden fan jet fogger set at around 300 HP (for 2nd and 3rd), 30"x9" M&H street meats, with about 127MPH traps speed. I'd do this with me, a full size floor jack, 2 tool trays, and my spares in the trunk. About 5000 lbs in all.

Loved that car. The cheapest fun I ever had. I'll post a pic of it when I get home. Post of pic of yours!! I love big cars that aren't supposed to go fast. Freaks everyone out!! LOL!!

Is this that black GP with the aero scoop? I talked to a guy named Gino from NJ with a pretty quick GP, in fact I have a couple of pics. Is that you?

Speaking of big boats....

My stupid buddies that would come with me to street races would do annoying things like sing the tune to Gilligans Island, write "queen mary" on my back window when I wasn't looking, and wear mohawk wigs and twirl hatchets out the window. Freakin knucleheads. LOL!!

One time the owners son of the place I was working for bought this big "gag" plastic anchor and chain and closed my trunk lid on the chain (didnt have a trunk lock at the time). Had no idea I was driving with the thing hanging out the back till I got home. I was wondering why people were snickering at stop lights. Nice to have a bunch of practical jokers as "friends" huh??

Another time I was at the street races. We had set up a race with some guys and a blown late model mustang (seemed like there were millions of stangs in the early 90's). We got out on Branford and the Mustang was doing these funny car burn outs. My used junko headers leaked badly, so my car sounded like this ratty piece of crap. I couldn't even roll my slicks in the VHT, not enough power on the motor. So I tapped the NOS and got them spinning. I pulled out of my burnout and the car stalled. Everyone gathered around were laughing at my car, saying stuff like, "what a piece of crap" while I was trying to get the thing started again. Got the car started back up and backed into my fresh rubber to do a test launch. I grabbed both the units and picked up the front left tire. My slicks looked like they had flattened. The guy with the Mustang waiting in the next lane proceeded to pull over and say, "are you kidding!!?? We're not racing that thing!!

It's always a nice feeling to know you can be feared with a $3000 tuna boat jalopy against a $20K or more Mustang.

Thumbs up cool!

stack another plate on it. spray it on top of what you have.leave on the 175 then add a 100 on top of that for a total of 275hp 2 complete seperate systems ( 2 bottle's 2 lines 2 plates or a fogger & a plate) ur 60 ft is very good for drag radial's.our cars are pretty simillar making about same power on motor 620 to 650 hp i ran same times as u did on motor but went 6.0's 2 stagging the nitrous but cracked the block up the mains. great times. hope this help's

SHAG whats up , hey thanks for your help on the qa1 shocks they are working great , started the setting on the stiff side to 6 and is setup perfect, also took gear out of the car from 4:10 to 3.55 made a big difference, with alot of help from the guy's on the board , i really don't want to push the factory pontiac block to that piont on nitrous , and split the block down the middle , i think with the 175 to 200 shot would be around the limit i want to go , motor has been together for 3 years now with no problems its still on the rich side so we still got some left i think with some tuning, i would have started an IA block this summer but i wanted to buy a car i've always wanted since high school got a really nice BUICK GN, SOON TO BE IN THE TENS ON 93 OCTANE AS WELL I NEED A NICE SLEEPER OUT HERE FOR THE STREET .

I am running a similar engine with around 630HP and I would like to spray it a little. I am trying to get a feel for what other people are getting away with.

THANKS FAST TEDDY NICE GP YOURSELF , JD THE BLOCK IS ALSO O-RINGED WITH COPPER HEAD GASKETS, AND THE BOTTOM END HAS THE BIG MAIN CAPS PUT IN ALSO , THAT WAS THE 1ST TIME I RAN THE NITROUS AT THE TRACK AND TOOK IT LIKE A BABY , BUT A 200 SHOT IS REALLY ALL I WANT TO PUT TO IT, I THINK THAT IS PUSHING THE STOCK BLOCK TO THE EDGE , AND SEE IF I CAN GET 9.90 WOULD BE MY GOAL . WHEN MAYBE THSES NEW FORGED CRANKS COME AVAILABE IN THE SPRING THEN I WANT ONE OF THE NEW BLOCK'S DONE TO GET IN THE MID 9'S ON A SMALL SHOT , AND MID TO LOW TENS ON MOTOR . I PUT THE AERO SCOOP ON IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT A CHEVY COWL ON IT AND PEOPLE CALLING IT A MONTE CARLO WHICH IS WHAT I GET SOMETIMES , PLUS I WAS RUNNING MY VICTOR INTAKE AND A DOMINATOR WHICH SITS REAL HIGH IN MY CAR . WENT FASTER WITH A TORKER II AND SMALLER CARB , BIGGER ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER , JUST LEARNING ALL THE TIME , I TRY TO KEEP IT SIMPLE AND LEARN FROM THE BIG BOYS.
