Default 1937 Pontiac

listing this for a friend, serious buyers can PM me for contact info, but i can answer most questions & get more pics.

this is a 1937 pontiac that was built as a street rod back in the mid to late 80's & has been in dry covered storage since the early 90's. owner has owned a body shop for 40 years & only does hot rods, muscle cars & higher dollar builds, he is semi retired & cleaning out some stuff.

the car has a mid 70's nova front stub set up for a pontiac engine & auto trans. it had a 389 tri power in it but engine was sold long ago. has 10 bolt from the nova in the rear, not sure of gear ratio but probably 3.23 or lower number. it is currently a roller waiting for the new owners engine/trans.

the car was painted in the 80's with a candy lacquer tangerine over gold base on the top & a blue metallic base on the lowers... its all the same tangerine paint but the bottom is more of a root beer color due to the blue base. the paint is showing its age & has some spotting through on the hood but there is no damage or rust issues on the body or frame. would look OK as a patina'd classic but would be an easy repaint since no body or rust work is needed. all trim is in very good shape, not show quality fresh chrome but very clean. all glass is good.

has full interior but is kind of dated brown cloth all in very nice shape still with no rips or damage. wheels are nice centerline style aluminum from the 80's, not sure of brand but can confirm. tires all roll & hold air but are old. this is a very solid car with lots of potential to have a pontiac engine dropped right in. paint, engine work or complete custom builds are available at very decent prices at this shop also.

seller is asking $10k but is open to reasonable offers. please PM me with any other question or to be put in touch with the seller.

some info off the firewall tag:

style- 37 26 27
body- 72
trim- 40-v

owner was told it was an 8cyl by the prev owner but the "26" might indicate it was a 6cyl.

there is a lot of interest locally & not even fully advertised yet, so the price is pretty firm at $10k at this point but there may be a little wiggle room. serious buyers can discuss price with the owner. just wanted to clarify the "reasonable offer" i put in there.
