455 HO Q-Jet 17057256

Does anyone know if this is an 800 CFM carb? Thanks

If each primary has only 2 boosters rings and not 3 then it’s a 800 model.

17057256 is 1977 unit from an Olds 350 engine.

It´s a nice candidate for performance usage, and yes, it is a 800 cfm casting with 3 booster rings.

Here in these first two photos what a true 71 to 72 455 HO carb looks like.

The third photo is a normal 750 carb, note the dimples in the primary throttle bores.
In the fourth photo is a 800 cfm 3 booster ring 455 SD carb from the 73 to 74 era.
Note that it has no dimples in the primary throttle bores because that’s how much bigger they are.

These later 800 size carbs with there 3 rings are far more responsive from off idle to about 2500 rpm, and that means a lot on its own no less if you have a auto trans car!

I was going to say that ti was:
1) a 1977 model year unit
2) not a Pontiac unit

2009 Cobalt SS: 13.9 @ 103mph (current DD; makes something north of 300hp & 350ft/lbs)
