Default Remove paint on plastic scoops

I just purchased a pair of GM Ram Air hood scoop inserts . These are original and in good shape but have several coats of paint on them. Unlike the closed scoops that are metal these are plastic. Looking for ideas to carefully remove the old paint without many hours of hand sanding . This is for a 69-70 Ram Air system.

Easy-off oven cleaner. I got that tip from someone on here years ago to help remove paint from my 69 plastic grilles. I believe I shot them with the oven cleaner, then put them in baggies and let them soak overnight??? Could probably find that on a search

Is there a reason why you can't use chemical paint stripper? I've been using Easy-Off oven cleaner for removing anodizing from aluminum trim, but for painted parts, I'd think proper paint stripper would be the way to go.

Oven cleaner won't damage plastic though?

No, it doesn't affect it at all.

Oven cleaner works well on styrene (it used to be the hot tip for stripping the paint off scale model cars) but I think it can react with some other types of plastic. So, try just a little bit on the underside to make sure there's no reaction.

Another thing I've heard of is soaking plastic parts in Purple Power cleaner.
