How quick did he get that 350 to go ?
Doing something different is cool in my book. Sounds like he was a good dude. RIP. |

I found a few representative times in Stock and Super Stock trim from 5-10 years ago. In Stock trim 11.69-11.75 was typical. In Super Stock trim 10.79-10.85. He was generally in the top 10 qualifiers in races he entered. Multiple time class winner at the US Nationals in both Stock and Super Stock. Multiple time National Record Holder as well. All with the lowly, forgotten Pontiac 350, horrible cylinder heads and intake, Q-jet carburetor and flimsy wet noodle partially counter-weighted crankshaft. Trap RPM well over 8000.

Probably should mention that Bill passed away April, 26, 2022. Still nice that he is remembered almost 2 years later for his accomplishments. The racers that compete in class legal NHRA Stock and Super Stock have my utmost respect. Difficult rules to adhere to and parts that have to be used. Orphan brands like our Pontiacs have an especially hard time . Tremendous dedication and lots of $$$ required to be at the top of that mountain.
