Default Custom Sport Steering Wheel

I just obtained a Pontiac Custom Sport Steering wheel. Have a look at the photo. It needs a bit of cleaning up but overal in good shape. The horn button collar that was on it had a PN from a 1978 and up LeMans/Grand Am/Prix so it is the next generation LeMans, since mine is a 73.

I want to put the proper LeMans/GTO centre and horn button on it, not the big Grand Am one. First does anyone have those parts? and secondly what all do I need?

I see kits in the catalogues but listings stop at 1972. Looks to me like the 72 parts will work. Any help is appreciated.

From what I understand, on these particular wheels 72 & 73 are identical. I do have a 73 to compare it with if you fine some good shots of the 72 parts.

That's what I thought too by looking at photo's of parts for sale. I did find a shot of the wheel as installed in a 73 GTO just to be clear on the parts I am looking for.

Default Diagram

Diagram of parts. Interesting the 76-81 parts fit the 73-74 Custom steering wheel.
72-74 have the same part mumber w/5 7/8 brezel. Note: *4 This wheel can be used w/4 1/8 diam brezel by replacing the bezel extension & ornament.

It's my understanding that the Custom Sports steeering wheel made a design change-over in mid-year '73. The wood-rim wheel was dropped and the foam-rim wheel was released.
