Here's the problem. A freshly restored 1973 Trans Am, 455, auto trans that won't pull. The motor is fine, running smoothly at idle and RPM. The issue is that the car stalls way up in the RPM band (should be a 2000 stall converter), shifts late and shifts very harshly when it does shift. It's as if the motor has no power and will barely pull the car. Trashed converter? It's a Butler PTC converter.

My guess, low on tranny fluid, or way too much timing advance.

Thanks to all. We'll start with the modulator and see what's up.
