Hi,
Make sure you have a thin wall 7/8" open end wrench to hold the pulley while removing the nut that attaches the shaft to the pulley. Having the right pulley puller is also important. I had to buy a cheap one from Harbor Freight ($6.99) and grind off the bottoms of the hooks to make it work. Be prepared to apply a lot of force to the nut that holds the pulley to the shaft. Make sure that you have the stud for the rear of the pump body. Mine was broken off and I had a devil of a time finding a replacement. Hope this helps. Mike

I used an impact wrench to remove the pulley nut on my P/S pump amd you do need to use a power steering pulley puller to remove the pulley. I just rebuilt my P/S pump w/ a kit from Napa, which was only 10-12 dollars and was a piece of cake to install.

What cujo said.
Get any 66-72 pump, remove the case, tear down both pumps and compare parts. Gasket/seal kit avail from NAPA or other place. Re-use the 1968 sheetmetal case. Aluminum bracket bolt pattern is matched to the 1968 case. HIS
