Thanks for the info guys. I think this may be the way I will go. Does the T350 fit ok in the Slim Jim tunnel?

Any experience with a lockup converter?

Look close at the pictures I posted. There was a little tunnel working at the tail shaft to case joint. Not sure how necessary it was as it now looks like enough room. I have heard of some who on a 350 ground off the lug on the case just if front of the tail shaft to case join. I didn't and am not sure if it would be necessary. I don't seem to have any problem. Also, the accumulator. I didn't have any tunnel work there and it is tight but has not been a problem. If you are going to try to use a stock dip stick I expect you may need to make some clearance. Do a test fit first and see where the problem areas are.

I don't have a lock up converter but I think it is only a matter of running some wires.

you'll laugh at what I did on my 63 Catalina drag car 455 TH350.. instead of stock transmount and clearancing the floor I did no rear mount but did a 1.25 straight square tube crossmember across frame direct bolted in and drilled two half inch holes and used some 1" pvc cut about a inch long as spacers to rest on the tail housing where thhe mount bolt threads are and ran 2 SBC 7/16 shank head bolts with a shock rubber gromet on them as a washer thru the square tube bottom up into trans case so my crossmember is also the mounts. Has worked great so far 1.6 sec 60 ft times wheels up . Seems stronger to me against twist as the trans mounting mounts to cross member are much further apart now vs like a single stud like some.
