In the "PONTIAC Racer"s & High Performance Handbook" by John Angeles/Pete McCarthy, there is a diagram of the adapter that you are looking for if someone isn't making one. It is on the page following 1965 ENGINE SPECS.

Check your block for the mounting tab for the block mount starter.

Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!

I am currently doing a TH400 into a '64 GP. Your block must be drilled and tapped to accept the newer type starter, if not then you must use an adapter. There are adapters available, call if you need help 408-629-4948. You must also use the flexplate for the TH400 and of course the yolk for the TH400. There is a minor modification to the rear crossmember but its no problem. You will also have to sort out the type shifter and the length of the drive shaft. It may seem like alot to do but its worth it as the Roto- trans is really junk even when its working as intended.
