Default Strong Showing: '71 HO on BaT

You guys see the auction that ended over the weekend for the '71 GTO 455HO 4-speed on Bring-a-Trailer? It went for $120k, which, IMO, is an exceptionally strong number. Someone wanted it badly. Really nice car.

Nice car!

I was looking at the PHS, do I see rear window deice? code 534. Where's the switch for it? Is it missing or just not pictured? I'm referring to the option in the second column 4th one from the bottom. Or am I reading the description wrong? Thanks

Similar high pricing to the white '71 M22 TransAm a few weeks ago, my congrats to both sellers.
Both cars seem to have their share of issues, just more $$$$ to resolve, which would frustrate me if I was a buyer. Prob a good deal am not a registered peanut gallery member on BAT

Wow! Glad to see a round port 71 GTO get some love like this! Very encouraging. Interesting vin stamp on the block - haven’t seen one like that before. Love the color and the no air, 4-speed. Well sold!

I’ve had a couple blocks with one digit of the vin unreadable just not stamped deep enough like the others wonder if that was the case and they restamped that one number when it didn’t come out readable
Pure speculation of course have no info on this particular block. Wonder if that’s why it was dropped down if that signifies something because anyone restamping for any other reason, would have made a better attempt to align the numbers

I’m not familiar w this year block really, anyone else seen anything like that?

Nice car, 455 HO, 4 speed and Black are big pluses. Negatives to my eye include 4 wheel drive stance (easily fixable) and it not being a Ram Air car from the factory. The rear window defroster option is MIA.

Super solid selling price but a really sharp car. Can't help but feel we may be on the edge of a cliff with the economy right now though, who knows?
