Pic of 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans Tube Chassis Drag Car
Well all, here is our '62 Tempest so far! We are nearing the end of it's completion. We will be out in 2008 for the drag race season.
Will post more pics as progress is made! |

That is a nice looking Tempest. Is that a VFN fiberglass hood? any comments on that hood also? Thanks Pat

Pat,
Thanks for the compliment. It will look even better when it is painted, and all the stainless goes back on. Yes, that is a VFN fiberglass hood. I am pleased with it. It is sturdy, and yet light weight. Although on the front of the hood on the drivers side, where it meets with the grille, I need to build it up with a little more fiberglass. It does not quite flow as well to the grille as the passenger side does. But still happy someone makes fiberglass parts for the '62! -Shawn |

Here is a pic of my car, It looks about the same as I bought it back in 2001. Now that I got a job with steady hours I will finally have the time to do it up. I got an old log ram 6x2 intake I am going to use and make a 60s style drag car out of it. Pat
