Default Life on the Mountain

Woke up Tuesday morning to this:

And no power, phone or internet for two days.

Another 12" added to this years total. Typical April up here.

Keith ... looks like the storm just kept picking up steam after it left your place.

Of course all my snow removal equipment has already been changed over to springtime implements.

Wife was able to get out of the driveway, I told her not to even try, but she wanted to go to work. Couldn't believe it but her BMW X-1 just climbed right up on the snow and drove out. Was literally 12" deep heavy, heavy snow. Thought for sure she would ground it out and have to wait till it thawed.

It's absolutely stunning up here sometimes in the winter. Like something out of a Disney movie ... but yeah, it get's a bit tiresome after a while.

Cool

Been there at Clifton Park, so done that. The day seems to end at 3 PM or so because the cold wind blows.

JUST moved down South to Alabama (again), this time it is more rural. It is about 6:30 PM and all is well.

And I thought it was just us Canucks up north getting whacked. For the last couple of months we had a Wednesday thing going. No matter what the weather was like the previous week, we would get a good dump on Wednesday. We had planned to go home from AZ at the end of March, then the middle of April, now mid May hoping there is no or little snow left. And, yesterday being Wednesday we/they got more snow.

Heard about the snow...the wife's parents are in Duanesburg. Sorry fellas, suppose to be 82 here in NC today.

Don't hate...I did my first 23 years in Clifton Park.

I hear you. We delayed leaving Arizona as long as we could before we had to be home. It was almost 100 the day we left. The next day after we got home the high was 30! Snow later. C'mon!

Huge windstorm forecasted today - already started.

Came home to work - older dogs not big fans of this sort of thing.

After moving from NE Ohio many years ago, I see a lot less snow here in NC......and I like it like that! Snow belongs on the top of mountains!!
