I guess it's the basics of any decal. I sprayed the car with my soap solution and removed the backing and sprayed that. I put the stripe on the car all at once and then squeegeed. I had bubbles captured. He started at one end and kept the stripe off the car on the other end. Applied and squeegee as he went along. No bubbles. Pretty basic but lesson learned. Also the stripe company said to leave outer layer on for 3 hours minimum before removing. He applied stripe, squeegeed and removed outer layer right after that. Hard to see if there's any bubbles with that outer layer on.
The car is looking pretty close to the pic in my sig of when it was brand new. It's been a long time coming.

I have to agree with Vertigto...that is one of the most attractive color combinations for a '70 GTO. Congrats Scott! Now drive that bad boy and see if you are quicker than 8.4379 seconds in the 1/8th. I'm also glad to not see a wing on the trunk lid! Gorgeous GTO!
