Default TKX installed in a '68-'72 A body convertible

Has anyone done this install and if so, what crossmember did you use?

It says it will work on a hardtop, have you used one on a convertible frame?

Not on a convertable. Usually the Hurst adjustable piece is the go to for a convertable, but it's $500 and I see it as no more adjustable than the X factor that's $150 less. Me......I'd do the X-factor and make it work.

In the middle of a swap right now on my 69 factory four speed convertible. Got sidetracked about three months ago. I plan on using the original cross member. I know I will have to drill a hole for the two rear bolts. As you know on a convertible requires the bottom of the frame to drilled with a 1" hole saw.

I'll let you know how the factory cross member fits when I get everything buttoned up.

Here's a discussion about installing one in a 1967, if that helps: https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=848101 You should be able to find other discussions, use the advanced search on 'TKX'.
