Did youbget the rocker and make the race? If so how did you do?

I did get the rocker (Thursday) but decided not to rush it and skipped the race. I got it running Saturday but have other issues going on now.

I may have missed it but what spring pressures are you running open and on the seat?

I don't remember what the open pressure was. I think the machine shop guy said just over 700. I do know the seat pressure is 265 lbs.

Thank you. It is amazing to me that those little chunks of aluminum can take that kind of stress!

They can take a whole lot more! Im at 400+lbs on the seat and over 1000lbs at max lift.

Think about it. I don't know your times but if you have a ten second car turning ONLY 6,000 rpm those little chunks of aluminum are each sitting there with one arm holding up the equivalent of a fully dressed small block chevy, and then during your run bench pressing the equivalent of two fully dressed Pontiac engines 500 times.
Even more amazing is watching the tachs during a NASCAR race and imagining what those internal engine components, including the rocker arms, are going through. |
