1966 Gauge ground bracket
It's been a while, and I can't remember specifically to explain to my friend.
There is a metal ground bracket that attaches with 2 hex screws to the rear of the gauge cluster. The other end attaches with a larger hex head screw to the pedal hangar assembly. I think the bracket accepts a aheet metal screw. I can't recollect if the bracket sits on top or below the hangar. Assembly pictures are vague. Its near impossible to see once installed or I'd look at my car. Any help is appreciated |

Ground bracket, = all 66 A body cars
That rear bracket is the ground for the gauges but also it is an anti-vibration device as the bezel in a 66 is much taller than the 64-65 bezel and so the center of the dash, it really needs a little bit of extra support.
NOTE: The far away (downward) end of the bracket rests in a slot on "top" of the brake pedal support. The screw that holds it tight threads in from underneath. (You will need to, at least, lower and/or remove the steering column tube to get into to space with a socket and an extension to tighten up that one bolt.)
