Default What is a "flat" 41 Chevy?

There is a deep cut ZZ Top song called "Chevrolet" where the lyrics make reference to a "flat 41." Does anyone know what this means?

No flathead Chevy engines in 1941, only the OHV stove bolt six.
I haven't heard the term before but my guess is it's a reference to a customized car, one that may have been lowered or chopped.

Yeah ZZ Top is unreal. I think maybe the greatest American band.
