Cool.
I almost submitted my Firebird a few years ago but couldn't stand the thought of them driving it first and doing those stupid burnouts. Sorta like letting someone make out with your wife for painting the house and cleaning the gutters. Although... I do hate ladders...

In previous Pontiac episodes, The lead Tech, Joe Zolper likes to call big CID Pontiac engines Big Blocks. Remember the '68 GTO episode with how many times he called the 461 stroker a big block. I lost count of how many times he said that.
Something tells me he got mail about the one size fits all from the 326 to 455 external dimensions. Two clues... valve covers comment with a smirk and Joe's t-shirt. Joe likes to bust chops. That's all I'm going to say. |

He also calls Qjets Quadrajunk and puts Edelbrock carbs on everything. Gets them free probably.

It's unfortunate that someone put in a sunroof back in the day, but otherwise it's a good looking car.

Good show, and nice to see a 350 for a change.

Oh, every performance shop and dragstrip. |

They did do a nice job on the sunroof. Don't know why they kept saying a "blue" interior was "ugly" though. |

I’d of went with the repop Rally 2’s if going to change wheels. Good episode though.

I did learn from Joe that Pontiac valve covers fit big and small block Pontiacs, I think that was a shot at the internet hatters. I don’t think they hatted the blue interior just that it was 6 different shades of blue from fading.

I was waiting to see smoke billowing out of the interior and/or trunk area when they took a torch to that upper rear shock bolt. I have no idea what they were thinking but coming from someone that did body & paintwork for many years, you never weld or put heat to an inner panel without opening doors and trunk and have a watchman with a water bottle ready. Scary!

Did you catch the t-shirt Joe wore later in the episode that said, "I like Big Block Pontiacs"?

I thought that was funny and I think he would be a cool guy to work with in a garage. I like Christy but thought Heather was a better fit on the show

I like the show - seems to be a relatively realistic take on getting projects out of the garage and on the road. They usually roll out of the garage with a few rough edges, but that's the way most cars are.
Nice to see they kept the 350. The owner seemed happy and all said and done it's a sharp looking car that his family can now enjoy. That's a win in my book.

To be honest, him saying that got me to give up on the perfection I wanted that had stalled my project and got me motivated to just get the thing back together and running again. So, here's my garage squad moment. Had this White 68 since 1976, parked it in 1995, started restoration in 2008, "finally" fired it up last weekend. First time in 25 years it's run, and although this isn't the very first fire, it literally did fire up and idle on the first hit. I was shocked. All thanks to Bruno and his disclaimer. https://youtu.be/wytjBtP7QmA And yeah, Christi is cool and all, but I liked Heather.

The engine was done before they started. He said it’s the original block for the car not that it really matters at that point.
