I meant to add that they were Goodyear Polyglas, but not GT's.

It's difficult - if not impossible - to determine whether Firestones or Goodyears were the OEM tires. That said, there is no repro Firestone G60, so the Goodyear Polyglas GT is the only choice.

They DO stick at the track!

The G60's are available from only two sources, Lucas Tire and Kelsey Tire.

Both sets I bought came from Kelsey Tire, through a GP with the Buick Forums, but the Buick Forums member who was arranging those GP's has quit doing them. If you need repro tires, I would recommending tagging along on the F.A.S.T. board GP, as it generally saves quite a bit.

I may be selling my newer set (4) of G60's in the near future, if anyone is interested. MIGHT have 1K miles on them, probably not even that. They're currently mounted on my repro 15x7 steelies so I'd need to get them dismounted first. Shipping could be a PITA?
FWIW, there's a group buy going on here: http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/show...gonew/1#UNREAD

I bought my GT's through Rusty, easy guy to deal with and received my tires within a week.

Mike

Rusty is the same guy who's doing the group buy on the FAST site, also on V8Buick.com

BTW, they're apparently out of the G60-15's for the moment, the next batch is coming soon though.

How does that translate into other sizes?

Like 245/65 R-15?

What would be the equivalent?

I don't think anyone makes that size. I think the closest available would be a 245/60/15. It's just a touch shorter though, 26.8 vs. 26.6 inches tall.

That's not what I meant - what size in those terms is a G60-15?

The closest P-Metric equivalent of a G60x15 is a P245/60R15.

Perhaps I should have worded it differently.
The closest available size to the G60-15 is the 245/60/15. The G60 is 26.8" vs. the 245 at 26.6".

My '72 WW5 455 H-O GTO originally had the G-60-15 polyglass Gt's.

Broadcast/build sheet notes that, also says car was a customer ordered car.

So some did come with the big goodyears.

Which is exactly the size of the Dunlop's I got from you.

Thanks!
