welcome to the site! i've got a 3" all the back on my camaro, i'm sure it'll fit a coupe. but the big question is: if you have a motor that requires 3" pipes, do you really want that motor in your convertible?

I have been thinking about selling my pipes 2.5 system that is brand new and going to a three inch system on my 69 Bird but I'm affraid that I won't have the ground clearance that I need??

My concern is that cross-brace used on the 'vert. I can use spacers to get more clearance but, not sure what to do.( I have frame connectors).
John J.: I've had that same thought. I'm building a 462+ stroker, almost complete. Couldn't see holding back on the rebuild. |

i know on my brothers bird we removed the cross brace when we put the frame connectors on. we never noticed any negative results from the removal.

Get the 3 inch oval system from Ram Air.

Engine like that, don't remove the crossbrace. Unless you want a twisted ruined body.
I destroyed one with only a modified 350 after removing the crossbrace thinking that the subframe connectors would save it. |
