welcome to the site! i've got a 3" all the back on my camaro, i'm sure it'll fit a coupe. but the big question is: if you have a motor that requires 3" pipes, do you really want that motor in your convertible?

I have been thinking about selling my pipes 2.5 system that is brand new and going to a three inch system on my 69 Bird but I'm affraid that I won't have the ground clearance that I need??

My concern is that cross-brace used on the 'vert. I can use spacers to get more clearance but, not sure what to do.( I have frame connectors).

John J.: I've had that same thought. I'm building a 462+ stroker, almost complete. Couldn't see holding back on the rebuild.

i know on my brothers bird we removed the cross brace when we put the frame connectors on. we never noticed any negative results from the removal.

Engine like that, don't remove the crossbrace. Unless you want a twisted ruined body.
I destroyed one with only a modified 350 after removing the crossbrace thinking that the subframe connectors would save it.
