Default Advance timing with new cam

I installed my latest cam on the advanced marks using the "A" marks on the crank gear(4* crank/2*cam). Do I need to add this amount to the initial timing when tuning it? I used to set it at 12*. Maybe I need to go to 14* now?

No.
Advancing or retarding the cam affects valve timing. Setting your ignition timing is spark timing. IOW,they are two different things.
